Requesting Accommodations

If you require accommodations for a viva (for example, extra time or typing mode), speak to your institution’s usual accommodations process first, then your instructor if needed.

What to Do

  1. Follow your institution’s accommodations process (disability services / learning support).
  2. If applicable, notify your instructor that accommodations should be applied for VivaEdu.
  3. Before starting a viva, use the setup screen to confirm your tools (extra time, pause/resume, typing mode, etc.).

What to Include in a Request

  • The class and viva name (or due date).
  • What adjustment you need (e.g., extra time, typing mode, camera exemption).
  • Any documentation your institution requires.

Tip

If you’re unsure whether something is an accommodation or a preference, check your Settings and the Accommodations Overview.
